New Zealand: Nokomai

After an awesome weekend in San Francisco, I slept all night on the flight to Auckland. I made it to Queenstown, took a walk around, and drank Speights with some friends. I made my way to Nokomai Station, where I slept a deep sleep, after a yummy home-cooked meal of lamb and potatoes. The next morning, I got a quick tour of the farm, where 22,000 sheep produce the Merino for SmartWool. We took a quick tour in the helicopter (the land is so extensive that they use a heli to round up the sheep) and saw the majority of the 96,000 acre property. The country here is gorgeous, and the people are the friendliest I’ve ever met. I’ve posted an album of photos on Facebook—take a look.
