I’m at home, but I thought I’d repost! I had an injury while I was skiing in the Jackson Hole backcountry, and I’m still recovering. It’s mostly a challenge, but I’m getting better each time.
Everyday, I go t0 Learning Rx (which is a brain-training program). They help little kids regularly, and a few older people, but I think I’m the first brain injury they’ve had. I work with a parent who’s daughter went to high school with me.
Twice a week, I have a personal trainer come to my house. On the days I don’t workout with her, I workout on my own with things she’s given me.
I also go to therapy. We do most of occupational therapy and speech therapy at home, so I only go to physical therapy. OT is mostly fine motor coordination, and I do a lot of cooking, so that’s covered. By going to speech, I’m better than a lot of patients, so she’s not able to make it hard enough for me. So I’m able to have more time to myself, rather than going to the hospital four times a week.
That’s all I posted, but I’ll post again!
A workout with my personal trainer.
