I’ve had a good first few days at work, and let me tell you- it’s hard going back to it when you haven’t done it for almost two years! But what I’m doing are the things I’m good at- press releases and social media, to name a few. My friend Hende so graciously offered me this internship, so I owe most of being back in the workplace to him.

Being back in Boulder presents it’s own set of new challenges. For example, my life isn’t the same as it used to be, and that’s something I’ll have to get used to. And my body doesn’t behave live it used to- from my ski accident, I have partial right side paralysis, so my vision is even worse than it was before (hard to believe, I know), I used to be right handed and now I’m left handed, and my right knee banged into a couple of things today. Life is much different than it used to be, and I’ll have to take that.

I’ve (and my families) been covered a bunch of different times in magazines, newspapers, and videos. I’m so lucky that this has happened, and am not sure why they chose me, of all people, when there are many, many people who have suffered from a TBI. But I’m so thankful that it’s happened to me.

That’s all for now- hope you are having a great week!

I love good coffee, good bikes, and good people.

  1. Sally! You are seriously one of the most badass people out there, over and over again. So happy you are back at work in a great place and making things happen. (and I am sure you are still vastly better at social media than me, two year hiatus and TBI or not)

  2. Sally, how inspiring!! I met you ONE time when you and your mother came into check out Anytime Fitness here in the Springs. I just want you to know (and I’m sure you already do) how you can inspire a complete stranger. I want to do better at what I do TODAY, because of you! Thank you!! You rock!! Ami Angel
